I received this PM this weekend... I'm removing the posters name.. I'm not trying to call him out, but I'm sure a number of folks on BlueFor are wondering the same thing..
Is it just me or are the teams for OP Falcon a little lopsided. I'm not talking about the obvious lack of participants on the BlueFor side. I was thinking more along the lines of having all of the big groups (SiOPs, Gun Devils, SPARTANS, etc.) all on the same team. While all of the smaller groups have to fight all, and I do pretty much mean all, of the more experienced groups that are used to fighting together. This just seems extremely one sided. It could also be the reason why about 30% of BlueFor just up and left (maybe, i don't know the facts about all of that). So, I guess what I am trying to get at is, are things going to stay the way they are now (big groups vs. everybody else) or will you guys be evening the teams out a little. I really want to go, but I don't want this whole thing to just be a practice-beating-up-everyone for the big groups.
First, you're making the assumption that the missions will be somehow evenly scored.
We knew ahead of time that Gun Devils and Spartans would end up on the same side because both teams wear MultiCam. Because of that, we designed the missions to be much harder on RedFor than on Bluefor.
Also keep in mind that only a couple of Silent Ops players attending have ever been to a MilSim event before.
BlueFor has AFA which is a very experienced large team, and Mymidons who are mostly former Gun Devils. Both of those teams have similar experience levels (in some cases better) to the Gun Devils and Spartans.
The teams aren't 'even' but they're a lot closer than people might think. I'd like to see another large experienced team sign up for BlueFor, but if it doesn't happen, I'm still laying bets on BlueFor winning.
Anybody who attended Ill Wind can tell you I was a *lot* harder on the 'more experienced' side.. Anybody on RedFor expecting a cake wake is going to be in for a rude awaking.
